Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken Travel to Colombia and Mexico April 27-30

Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel next week to Colombia and Mexico to meet with a wide range of government officials and non-governmental experts to discuss key political, economic, and security issues.
On April 27-28, Deputy Secretary Blinken will lead the U.S. delegation to the U.S.-Colombia High-Level Partnership Dialogue and the Steering Committee for the U.S.-Colombia Action Plan on Racial and Ethnic Equality, and join the High-Level Strategic Security Dialogue led by Deputy National Security Advisor Avril Haines. While in Colombia, Deputy Secretary Blinken will also meet with senior Colombian officials to discuss the ongoing peace process as well as other key bilateral and regional issues.
Deputy Secretary Blinken will then travel to Mexico to discuss our continued cooperation on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, including our joint efforts to address migration and ongoing security and economic partnership discussions. He will also meet with students and alumni of U.S.-Mexico exchange programs to highlight the importance of these programs in strengthening the future of our bilateral relationship.
