African vessels inspire contemporary artists

The history of clay is as old as humanity. In Africa, the tradition has been pit-fired vessels, and in a move to motivate contemporary artists to draw on their African roots, Ceramics SA Western Cape and Iziko Museums have curated an inspired exhibition that prompted a new series of stamps from the South African Post Office.
